My Experience
I’m a graduate of The Ohio State University and I graduated with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. I began my career with Anheuser Busch, in St. Louis, MO and I have resided in the Kansas City area for nearly 22 years.

My work experience early on was to build systems for better process flow, which certainly matches my team’s vision at First State Bank to offer “wow” service.
Today, my team and I have the vision to give the utmost in customer service and ensure our bank guests have one of the BEST loan origination experiences ever while offering competitive rates and loan programs to meet everyone’s specific needs.

My goal and my team’s goal are to help each borrower with the transition from the acceptance of their Real Estate Contract to the closing of their home loan. We communicate throughout the process to all of the parties associated with the loan, so that the process is a great experience and the stress is minimized during this process.

My education and expertise are perfect for analyzing a borrower’s financial goal for his or her loan. My experience in the Mortgage Industry has allowed me to understand the vast loan options, loan guidelines, and exceptions available in the guidelines, allowing me to best determine the loan options available for his customers.

Formerly a licensed Kansas Real Estate Broker, I am a certified Continuing Education Instructor teaching financing and other continuing education programs to Realtors.

My wife, Gail, and I have four boys: Adam, Travis, Zach, daughter in law, Megan and Brett; daughter-in-law, Angie, and grandson, Henry and granddaughter, Lili. We also have our four-legged ‘daughters’, Bella, and Neely.

Hobbies: Pheasant Hunting, Golf, and Woodworking.

Favorite Sports Team: The Ohio State Buckeyes. Yes, I am born and bred Ohio State as my dad taught at Ohio State. And I love Division I NCAA Football and the rivalries in College Football. Obviously, the Kansas City Chiefs. When it comes to baseball, my former employer owned the St. Louis Cardinals, so there is a soft spot there for them!
